Welcome to Aspatrialocal
Last updated at 12:08, Friday, 01 August 2008
This is one of the first “hyper-local” websites launched by the Times & Star.
It aims to provide the Aspatria community with a website that is packed full of information and useful links as well as a taste of the news and sport from the Times & Star and its sister paper, the News & Star.
We aim to make the site as open as possible to people in the community who may like to contribute news, pictures and information.
So if you run a local group you can have your own page on this site or if you’ve got something to say you can join in the conversation at Aspatrialocal.
And any information or news you contribute to this site is likely to be used by the News & Star to improve its Aspatria coverage.
In time we will be offering training in conjunction with the University of Cumbria to Aspatria residents who want to contribute on a regular basis to this website.
But for now if you want to get involved email either:
Aspatria reporter Sarah Newstead at snewstead@cngroup.co.uk
OR Nick Turner, CN Group’s head of digital content, at nturner@cngroup.co.uk
