Search for new HQ

KESWICK ambulance volunteers are searching for a new headquarters.
St John Ambulance, which has been in the town for more than 100 years, is based in a wooden hut on the corner of the Rawnsley site in Main Street.
The hut needs replacing and, because sewage problems, it is not be possible to build on the site.
The group is seeking an alternative location with room for training and garaging. It also wants to attract young volunteers.
Keswick Town Council was contacted by organisers, but councillors said they were not aware of any land they could offer.
Instead it was suggested they contact Keswick Youth Club, Keswick Rugby Club, or Keswick Ministries, which may have space available in the Rawnsley Centre.
