A CUMBRIA U15 development team travelled to Vale of Lune to face a strong North Lancashire side and drew 12-12.
The North Lancs team applied early pressure and took the lead with an unconverted try. Cumbria fought back and good possession from the forwards led to a well-taken try by Cockermouth’s Josh Whild.
North Lancs went ahead with a converted try in the second half before Keswick’s Pete Weightman finished off a backs move with a try in the corner. Michael Fearon, of Cockermouth, added the conversion to tie the game.
Also in the Cumbria team were Jordan Stainton (Zebras) and Sam Wilson (Cockermouth).
